An off-centre waste, water supplies in the wrong place, a wall that is not square: I measure on site and design the unit around them. Since I also do the plumbing, the connection is part of the same job.

Dimensions, walls out of true, the exact position of wastes and supplies: everything is measured before any drawing.
Drawers cut away or offset to clear the trap, rather than losing the whole space beneath the basin.
Boards and finishes chosen to withstand a bathroom's humidity, with protected edges.
Access to the valves and trap built in, for maintenance, without dismantling the unit.
A top cut for the chosen basin and taps, with a carefully finished joint to the wall.
Fitting, connecting the basin and taps, and checking for leaks: a single visit.

Most damaged vanity units are damaged by water: a poorly planned waste, an unreachable seal. By designing the unit and making the connection myself, I settle these points before they become a problem.
