Cupboards, pull-out drawers or open niches in the space beneath the steps.
Recesses beside a blocked-up fireplace, alcoves and returns turned into storage.
Large drawers on runners, to reach the back of a low space without contortions.
Integrated lighting for deep spaces, neatly wired in.
Fronts scribed to the real walls and ceilings, with no unsightly gaps.
