What I make for the neighbourhood.

The most frequent requests in Notre Dame des Champs and around. If what you need isn’t listed, describe it: that is exactly where bespoke work begins.

Vanity units

A unit designed around the waste and the basin. Access panel, water-resistant top, drawers that clear the trap.

Storage and bookcases

Cupboards, wardrobes, bookcases. Under a sloping ceiling, in an alcove, around a door: wherever shop-bought furniture won’t fit.

Worktops

Cutting and fitting, with the cut-outs for the sink, the hob and the services. Finished edges, tight joints.

Discreet casings

Boxing in a riser, casing a consumer unit or a meter, radiator covers. Accessible for maintenance, invisible the rest of the time.

Doors and adjustments

Planing, fitting door sets, restoring clearance after a new floor, replacing ironmongery.

The buildings

Nothing is square in the buildings of Paris 6th arrondissement (75006).

Walls lean, floors drop a centimetre over three metres, and behind every partition runs a waste pipe nobody has a plan of. A piece ordered from a catalogue arrives in round figures and sits askew.

I measure on site, I design around what runs behind, and I fit it myself. When plumbing or electrics are involved, there is no one to coordinate.
