Plumbing — Hot water
No hot water, lukewarm water, a cylinder that leaks or trips the power: I diagnose before replacing. And since I am also an electrician, I check the water heater's supply and protection in the same visit.

What I deal with on a water heater.
Element, thermostat or electrical supply: I find the part at fault before any talk of replacement.
The old one removed and taken away, the new one fitted, plumbing and electrical connections made, and the unit commissioned.
Replacing a safety valve that drips constantly or no longer opens. It is what keeps the cylinder safe.
Draining and descaling the tank and the element, to restore efficiency and extend its life.
A leak from the tank cannot be repaired. A leak from a fitting can: I tell you which it is before any estimate.
Checking the dedicated circuit, its protection and the off-peak contactor. Brought up to standard where needed.
From the workshop's other trades
A water heater is water under pressure beside an element of several kilowatts. Installing it properly takes both skills: the connections and safety valve on one side, the dedicated circuit and protection on the other. I do both.
Five arrondissements — the Left Bank, and the 16th just across the river — covered neighbourhood by neighbourhood. It is the area I can reach quickly, which matters when water is running.
